Earth Day

Today was a good day.
A very tiring day, indeed, but it was all worth it.
I spent my morning at the Kota Damansara Community Forest celebrating Earth Day.
The residence association of KD organised this and since my sister is in the organising committee, we thought we'd join in the fun :)
Today is a day I will remember.

I went kayaking for the first time!

Shafi and Aaryan
They were walking around the entire hall holding hands.
So I said to Shafireh when she walked pass me, "Who's this boy, Shafi? (with a huge grin on my face) " then she replied "His name is Aaryan. I'm going to marry him. He's my husband okay. I got permission from Grandpa already "

you know, the funny thing is that.. they're related. HAHA oh gosh, gross.

I remember standing on the side after having chanted a prayer, while they were saying their vows, then putting their rings on each other. I remember feeling happy but sad at the same time. I remember tearing a whole lot, covering my face hoping no one would see me break down like that. I remember thinking to myself, "She's getting married now. My sister is leaving me. Things will never be the same"

& yesss today is also, my darling brother's birthday.
He turned 17 at exactly 8.30 in the morning. ok whatever.

He had a pre-birthday party on the 19th, a Sunday night.
He wanted family around :')
So yeah, everybody came. Including uncle Kasi's family who to us, feels like familyyyy :)

Mima made them read something. Everything is always so.. dramatic la.
the family gatherings aren't our family gatherings without a few tears.
